Judith Pratt, Writer

Playwright
"What kind of plays do you write?"

That very natural question always stumps me.  But here are a few answers.
  • Plays with great women characters.
  • Plays where the characters make a huge leap of faith at the end.  (Like heading for Oceania to look for a mythical tribe.)
  • Plays about genetics, anthropology, New England families, body image, and the future.
  • Plays with masks.

I've been an actor, director, professor, theatre critic--and now a playwright. (Teaching Theatre History at Wells College, Spring 2012. History is a great place for artists to steal stuff!)
